CTV - Make sure you used the right sponsor logo on Idol
When your 9-year-old daughter asks what Honeynut Cheerios is doing with their logo on Canadian Idol’s phone and text voting on-screen banners it makes you wonder how CTV screwed up the logos – I thought it was supposed to be Telus

Gay Pride - the Celebration or the Marketing Property?
It was a busy day yesterday and the biggest event in Canada was not the F1 race or World Cup Soccer on TV – it was the Gay Pride Parade in Toronto. With “one million in attendance�, Pride probably rivaled Sunday morning church too. It’s got nothing in terms of profile on these other events, but in numbers Pride is one of the largest community events of the year in Toronto

Media Ownership - Canada vs USA
The CBC was an easy target in today’s newspapers after a senate report published yesterday indicated it needs a complete overhaul – including no more commercials, sports or US reality shows (thank you!). But it was coverage of the direction that media ownership is headed in Canada and the US that got us talkingÂ

Stanley Still Lord in Canada
Here's another glimpse into a day at Wills & Co. When there's a big thing happening on TV we do a little wager on who can guess closest to the actual audience. The winner is verified with the overnights the following day. Ususally one of us is almost dead on, but with last night's game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final none of us was even in the ballpark

Satellite Radio 101
Everyone knows my position on satellite radio – it’s deadly and you should get one. Just over a year ago when it looked positive for Sirius and XM in Canada, I got a US Sirius radio for my car – which I still have. The Canadian ones weren’t going to be available until the end of the year and we wanted to have them figured out before then
