In many ways, this has to be a top 3 topic with social media and probably one of the toughest for marketers to get – how to “engage with social media in an authentic way”

If we’re going to have a blog based site, I better do a half decent job of blogging. Lots of excuses but I can do better – all it took was a couple of comments from fans and following Mashable on Twitter to fire me up again. So this won’t be a blog machine because I do have a real job, but hopefully we can get back to adding to the discussion about media in a valuable way. Not long ago I was talking to a friend who has a client that wished they could move all their TV money into online. Their main reasoning was that no one sees commercials because everyone has a PVR. Moving all his TV dollars to online to TV would just be stupid, but the point I want to deal with here is that PVRs are not yet a big threat to TV as an effective advertising medium
